The Illinois Student Assistance Commission has identified 2008 Illinois State Scholars.  See the complete list of GHS students who have been recognized.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. For more details, please visit the website.  Glenwood High School is proud to recognize the following students for their achievements:

Class of 2008 - Rachel Wang has been recognized as a National Merit Scholar. Dana Brown has been named a National Merit Semi-Finalist. National Merit Commended Students include Megan Badgett, Kaitlyn Bruce, Zachary Kretchmar, and Alexander Weaver

Class of 2009 - National Merit Semi-Finalists include Julia Cao, Rachel Mittlestadt, Angela Qian, Thomas Stone, and James Sun.
